Five Nights at Freddy's is a point-and-click survival horror video game played past Markiplier and the starting time game in Five Nights at Freddy's series. Information technology was developed by Scott Cawthon and released on Baronial 8, 2014. A sequel titled Five Nights at Freddy's 2 was released on November 11, 2014, only a few months apart from the original.

Plot
The true story behind Five Nights at Freddy's is very vague. What little is known reveals that a famous pizzeria known every bit Freddy Fazbear'south Pizza has been popular for many years until an incident known equally the Seize with teeth of '87 where an animatronic had flake off someone's frontal lobe. Gameplay
The role player must survive their shift, lasting from midnight to 6:00 a.m. (approximately 8 minutes and 36 seconds in existent time and 4 minutes and 30 seconds on the mobile and tablet editions), without being attacked by i of the animatronic animal robots roaming the facility. The role player, who sits in an office and is unable to move, is given access to a network of security cameras throughout the facility to rail the motility of the animatronic robots. 4 of the five characters have distinct movement patterns while the 5th, "Gilt Freddy", only appears when certain deportment are taken; however, about of the characters' movements take place off-screen. The photographic camera feeds are dimly lit and distorted, 1 of the rooms simply contains an audio feed, and the cameras practice non cover certain areas of the building, virtually notably the two hallways directly to the left and right of the player. The thespian cannot leave the guard room, but tin can shut the doors to defend themselves, and briefly plough on lights in the hallways to check for animatronics. Apply of these actions consume the role player's limited electrical power; if the power runs out, the cameras become inoperable, the doors open, and the lights exit, leaving the player with no defense force against an attack. In one case these things happen, music will play, information technology will go pitch black, and Freddy will spring scare the actor, losing the game.
